One of the main results of Into-Active Europe project has been the born of a new Leonardo Da Vinci project: Into Caring Europe, aimed at developing a new, Learner-led, client-friendly, practical, European Foundation Certificate in Domiciliary Care, and  analysing the care needs of the Learner group & their clients, responding accordingly, making sure the new Certificate leads to a new level of recognition of professional competence led by client need.

The news says that during the days 17th and 18th of April has been held in Murcia the 3rd meeting of project Into-Active Europe, funded by the European Commission Grundtvig Programme, which responds to the need of entities from different countries to share knowledge, experiences, information and ways of working, such as the field of dependency based on age or disability.

Is it the British ‘fighting spirit’? Marcel, director of ‘Seniors Handicapes  Europeens’ asks over lunch in reference to the amount of volunteering action in Rural Kent we have been championing this morning. He seems genuinely staggered by the level of commitment shown across the channel when it comes to helping each other out for nothing other than the satisfaction it brings.

Action with Communities in Rural Kent officially launched its five EU-financed trans-national co-operation projects October. The projects, which all build upon work undertaken locally by the RCC in recent years, exist to inform either future policy-setting or service delivery. Local community groups and social enterprises share in the benefits that these new projects bring.
